All the power of CBD against cellular aging

Bottle of Hemp Oil

MAgeing is a process that affects all the cells in our body and has effects that are visible even to the naked eye, such as grey hair, wrinkles on and a dull complexion. Skin ageing in particular is not only caused by time but can be accelerated by many factors, such as exposure to UV rays, smog, poor diet and consumption of tobacco and alcohol or other drugs. However, in nature, there are substances capable of protecting our cells from premature ageing, such as hemp, whose exclusive properties are still too little known or used.

What cellular ageing is affected by

The phenomenon of ageing is mainly associated with the passage of time and advancing age, but in reality, this process can be influenced by our lifestyle and bad daily habits. In particular, chronoaging is defined as the natural evolution of our body's skin and tissues as they undergo structural, functional and aesthetic changes over time, caused by an increase in oxidative stress that damages cells, caused by increased production of free radicals, and by processes such as non-enzymatic glycation, which generates advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) that interfere with the normal function of collagen, making the skin less soft and elastic and encouraging the appearance of wrinkles, skin dryness and loss of tone.

MThe combination of skin changes caused by external or behavioural factors defines extrinsic ageing, resulting in deeper wrinkles and rougher, thicker skin. The main factors of extrinsic ageing are:

M● UV rays: excessive and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays causes an inordinate production of free radicals that cause damage to cellular DNA, accelerating cellular ageing. The action of UVA rays, in particular, is so responsible for damage to the skin that it is referred to as photoaging i.e. UV-induced premature ageing.
● Pollution: city smog, deposited on the skin, contributes to the onset of inflammation-aging that worsens the characteristic signs of skin ageing.
●Smoking and alcohol: the intake of alcoholic beverages and tobacco increases cellular damage and promotes the appearance of signs of ageing.

How to act?

Skin ageing cannot be stopped, but it can certainly be counteracted and slowed down by improving our behavioural habits and carrying out a correct beauty routine. Choosing cosmetic products that are effective against skin ageing is essential for protecting cells from damage and thus preserving the skin's natural beauty, reducing wrinkles and signs of ageing.

The cosmetics market offers a wide range of anti-ageing cosmetic products based on natural active ingredients that are already well known, and capable of reducing cellular damage and slowing down skin ageing, but among these, there are still some with extraordinary properties about which very little is known, such as Hemp oil, with its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action, ideal against oxidative stress and therefore against premature ageing.

Why choose Hemp

Cannabis or hemp is a herbaceous plant native to Asia and rich in functional active ingredients, such as cannabidiol (CBD), known for its benefits to the skin, and extracted through the production of hemp oil.

Hemp oil is a precious cosmetic ingredient with multiple virtues, essential in the beauty routine of every woman of any age as it has sebum-regulating, antioxidant and soothing properties. In particular, hemp oil contains essential fatty acids that favour the regeneration of the skin's protective barrier, improve elasticity and firm the skin, reducing wrinkles. Furthermore, the antioxidant action of CBD prevents DNA damage induced by free radicals and thus preserves the integrity of the skin and keeps it in good condition. For all these properties, hemp oil is a prestigious substance for daily skincare, as it improves the skin by acting on wrinkles, fine lines, acne, redness, dryness, loss of tone and signs of ageing, making it an almost irreplaceable product.

How and when to use hemp oil

Hemp oil is a unique product that provides many benefits to the skin thanks to its unique composition rich in oleic acids, linoleic acids, palmitic acid, vitamin E, vitamin Pp, and vitamins B1 and B2. It can be used in various forms in your beauty routine:

● Just as oil, applied to the skin alone or in combination with other essential oils;
● As a lotion or cream for face and body;
● Massage oil for moisturizing, emollient and regenerating effect;
● Hair products such as shampoo and conditioner.

Thanks to the many virtues of hemp oil, this product shows great versatility of use and is therefore very good on both young and mature skin. It is perfect for stressed, dull, impure, dry skin that shows signs of ageing. Furthermore, due to its incredible antioxidant action, very useful against ageing, the use of hemp oil is ideal both in the morning and in the evening, to be applied with a light massage all over the face.

Being a very rich oil, hemp oil is one of the last steps in the beauty routine. It should be applied after proper cleansing, followed by serum and cream, and lastly, skincare is completed with a few drops of cannabis oil and then, if desired, make-up applied.

Towards green cosmetics

The production of this precious oil is based on increasingly sustainable and environmentally friendly methods of hemp cultivation. Cannabis plants absorb CO2 much more quickly than normal plantations, which is why cosmetics with hemp extracts are part of a new frontier of green cosmetics, based on respect for the environment and the reuse of waste products. The awareness of choosing a cosmetic product, such as cannabis oil, that is natural, sustainable and effective supports the consumer toward more environmentally responsible cosmetics. It also helps to destroy the unfair belief that cannabis is a dangerous narcotic substance that should be and often is banned.

The use of CBD in cosmetic products not only enhances the value of an active ingredient with extraordinary qualities, about which there are still too many misconceptions but also supports the production of sustainable, natural and functional cosmetics for the whole body.
